WoW!   What an incredible week, without a doubt the busiest week we have had in years! Aug. 3rd we played the Hangar stage at the Orange County Fair to a great crowd! "It was an awesome sight after our sound-check... the O.C. Fair staff pressed a bottom and the Hangar doors slid open, exposing the entire fair to the stage at the Hangar.... really cool!" said Bruce. It is a beautiful venue with wonderful sound thanks to a Line-Array system, huge subs and a great big 50' T.V. screen broadcasting the entire show!
The very next night we played a 3 hour concert at the Apple Valley Sunset Concert Series, complete with a full light and laser show! Again, a very nice Line-Array sound system provided by Wes and tghe "It's Showtime" show and productuion crew. ":It sure was nice to play a huge concert like that in our home town, instead of down the hill ior a couple of hundred miles away. I could not believe how many people weere out there....I heard it was over 2000!" says Albert. Then we finished up the week with another O.C.Fair show and a benefit concert out at Stater Brothers Stadium, home of the High Desert Mavericks Baseball team. "Completely wore out, but would'nt change a thing!" added Josh Martin.

Al, Josh and Bruce visited Loma Linda Childrens hospital yesterday and played an acoustic set for the children that were able to attend, their families and the staff. "It was everything I hoped it would be!" says Bruce. The guys were scheduled to play at 10:30am, and during the setup the lobby was pretty empty. "Our contact person said it would be hit or miss on the amount of people that come down to listen, but she had sent memos to all the departments and posted flyers all around" says Josh.
" we started our first song with nobody around and by the end of the song we looked up to see over 40 people had came in and errupted into applause....I was shocked!" mentioned Albert.  The star of the day was a tiny little guy named Mika. His Mom brought him down and from the moment he was wheeled in he was boppin his head and when his Mom took him out of his ride, his grooving dance was electrifiying! "He was looking at a Dejembe drum I had brought but was not playing, so we cleared off some business cards and pushed out in the middle for him to play. His eyes lit up and he start playing the drum right in time with the band." said Josh.
"All the kids were great! One little boy played the drum and when he was finished all the people clapped for him, he was so shy, he smiled and ran back to his seat.... The kids just melted our hearts." says Bruce.
The guys are excited to return very soon and talking about doing a toy drive and special trip down at Christmas.

BIO

In 1997, in a local music shop in Victorville, California, an employee put an add on a bulletin board that read “Guitar player, into Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and most blues music. Looking for bass player and drummer, call Albert.”…. That’s how it all started.

Lead guitarist Albert Miranda was the employee and bass player Bruce Grogan answered the add, a week later they started a “not so serious” garage band called Groove Deville.  A year later, drummer Josh Martin joined the group, things really started to click and the core was formed. They played local outreaches and different church events, and in the spring of 2000 recorded their first album under the name The Albert Miranda Band. Albert sang all the lead vocal tracks for the album, but was uncomfortable as a front man for the group….enter, Milton Caylor.

Milton’s strong vocals changed the sound of the band completely; this was the official start of Four Shadows Fall. The guys really stayed busy for the next year and started to draw some attention. They landed a recording deal with a small record label in Southern California. With a tour immediately planned the band added rhythm guitar player Gabe DelaCruz, a young guitar student and protégé of Albert’s.  They had put in about fourteen grueling months of recording and touring, when the label suddenly folded, leaving the guys back at square one.

The guys didn’t miss a beat, they entered a contest sponsored by the American Music Showcase and won the grand prize of performing at Spirit West Coast music festival. The band started landing larger venues, and in 2006 added keyboard sensation Danny Murcia. Danny also helped to define the group’s signature harmonies. Around that same time the new 6 piece band went back to the studio, Taylor Made Studios in Huntington Beach, and recorded the “Still” album. This 6 piece band remains as Four Shadows Fall’s current lineup today.

Over the years the group has played at venues such as Spirit West Coast, Joshua Fest, B.B. Kings in Hollywood, Arrowhead Stadium and Mavericks-Stater Bros. Stadium, Desert Thunder Children’s Charity, Orange County and San Bernardino County Fairs, Buffalo Bills Resort and Casino, Star of West Arena. They also were awarded a “Top 10 Performer” at Music in the Rockies sponsored by the Gospel Music Association in 2007.

Today, Four Shadows Fall still operates as an independent band with no affiliation to any recording label. By the grace of God they will continue to grow their music and make friends everywhere they go.
